Layers of the Earth

This week in science we will begin our study of the earth by taking a look at its layers. We will be discussing the earth's crust, mantle, lithosphere, asthenosphere, and core. We will also be discussing the important role that convection currents play in the transfer of heat energy by the movement of matter. Creating a Graph or Chart

We will continue to work on charting and graphing utilizing Google Docs. To the left is link to another online program that you can use to chart or graph information. You will be collecting data for a small scale study you will complete in class. You will record your data and graph it utilizing a graphing program. Afterward, you will type up a Powerpoint presentation to communicate your results to the rest of the class.
